Fans of Sonos have been waiting for a home theatre subwoofer that costs less than the $749 Sub for a very long time, and it’s now here. A new Sub Mini subwoofer from the company has been released, and the audio equipment maker claims it produces “bold bass for smaller-sized spaces.” It shares the same design as the Sub series but is available in a smaller size.
Sonos states that the Sub Mini is intended for use in small- to medium-sized rooms, while the normal Sub is still best suited for larger rooms. The company suggests pairing the Sub Mini with the Beam or Ray for home theatre audio. The Sub Mini also pairs nicely with Ikea’s Symfonisk products or a single or stereo Sonos One speaker if you’re buying it solely for music.

Similar to the company’s other recent speakers, the Sonos Sub Mini can be added to your system with just a fast tap of your phone on the top of the speaker unit. Further EQ variables such as Bass level can be adjusted through the Sonos app.
You can now place an order on the Sonos website for the new Sonos Sub Mini, which will cost $429 and will be available starting October 6, 2022.
