Sony Bravia XR OLED A80K With Cognitive Intelligence Launched In India: Specifications

Sony has introduced its new Bravia XR OLED A80K televisions in India. The new TVs will join the Bravia XR OLED A95K and Bravia XR OLED A80J televisions in the brand’s OLED lineup in India. The Bravia XR OLED A80K is touted as the world’s first TV with cognitive intelligence.

Sony’s Cognitive Processor XR intelligently improves the colour, quality, depth, and contrast of the content displayed on the screen. In Sony’s words, “It thinks like a human brain providing a revolutionary experience that completely immerses viewers in their favourite content.”

Sony Bravia XR OLED A80K: Features, Specifications

The newly launched Sony Bravia XR OLED A80K televisions come in 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch screen sizes. It sports an OLED panel with 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) and a 120Hz screen refresh rate. The TV comes with premium metal bezels and a metal wedge stand.

The TV is powered by Sony’s Cognitive Processor XR and is equipped with 16GB of internal storage. It packs in XR 4K Upscaling, XR Super Resolution, XR Smoothing, XR Triluminous Pro, and dual database processing to improve the colour and clarity of the videos. Furthermore, it comes with a Dynamic Contrast Enhancer, OLED XR Contrast Pro, Pixel Contrast Booster, and XR HDR remaster features.

Talking about its audio prowess, the Sony Bravia XR OLED A80K TV gets three actuators and two subwoofers for powerful sound output. The TV supports Dolby Audio, Dolby Atmos, DTS Digital Surround sound, HDR10, HLG, and 3D Surround Upscaling.

Connectivity features of the TV include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, one Ethernet port, one RF, one composite video input, four HDMI, HDCP 2.3, one digital audio output, and two USB ports, among others. The Bravia XR OLED A80K smart TVs run Google’s Android TV operating system and support Apple AirPlay 2 and Apple HomeKit.

Sony Bravia XR OLED A80K: Price, Availability

The New Sony Bravia XR-65A80K with 65-inch display is priced at ₹2,79,990. Meanwhile, the Bravia XR-77A80K with 77-inch display comes at a hefty price of ₹6,99,900. The 65-inch and 77-inch variants will go on sale in India on July 22, 2022. Sony hasn’t disclosed the pricing and availability of the 55-inch variant yet.
