Sony Launches Unique Neckband Speakers In India: Price, Specifications

Sony’s new SRS-NB10 and Sony SRS-NS7 wireless neckband speakers has gone on sale in India. It has also launched the Sony WLA-NS7 wireless transmitter along with the neckband speakers. The neckband speakers is a unique concept by Sony as it lacks earphones. The sound will be delivered directly via the speakers, providing a comfortable all-day listening experience. These neckbands support Dolby Atmos and Sony claims that it will be perfect for use while at home or even outdoors. Coupled with the WLA-NS7 transmitter, it can offer Sony’s signature 360 Spatial Sound experience with Sony Bravia XR TVs.

Sony SRS-NB10 Neckband Features, Specifications

The Sony SRS-NB10 neckband wireless speaker allows you to receive calls and enjoy your favourite music. It comes with full-range speakers channelled upwards and passive radiators that provide enhanced bass. The Precise Voice Pickup Technology utilises dual high-quality directional microphones coupled with advanced audio signal processing to provide distortion free calls. The tech also minimises the annoying echo during the calls.  

Sony SRS-NB10 are IPX4 rated for water resistance, so you can use it during activities or even take it for a swim. It can be charged via a USB-C port and is claimed to last for 20 hours of music playback on a single charge. A quick 10-minute charge can offer you about an hour of playback. 

Sony SRS-NS7 Neckband Speaker Features, Specifications

The Sony SRS-NS7 neckband speaker offers a cinematic surround sound experience owing to Sony’s 360 Spatial Sound experience and the 360 Spatial Sound Personaliser app. The 360 Spatial Sound Personalizer smartphone app captures images of your ears and analyses hearing characteristics to provide a personalised listening experience.  The SRS-NS7 is also compatible with Sony BRAVIA XR models. You will need to connect the wireless transmitter WLA-NS7 to the TV with an optical cable and a USB cable. Then you will be able to pair the SRS-NS7 neckband with the transmitter via Bluetooth to enjoy audio streaming from the TV. 

The Sony SRS-NS7 wireless neckband speakers promise up to 12 hours of music playback on a single charge. It gets fast charging support, which can get you an hour’s worth of playback in just 10 minutes of charging.  The speakers come with an IPX4 rating for water resistance.

Talking about the wireless transmitter, WLA-NS7, it also works with Sony WF-1000XM3, Sony WH-1000XM4, Sony WH-XB700, and Sony WI-1000XM2 headphones.

The Sony SRS-NB10 wireless neckband speakers come with a price tag of  ₹12,027. The more advanced Sony SRS-NS7 wireless neckband speakers will set you back by ₹22,990.
