Sony’s DualSense controller can be paired with a PC for gaming. However, you couldn’t get the latest firmware update by pairing it to your PC. Instead, you would need access to a Sony PlayStation 5 to perform a firmware update, which proved to be quite annoying for users. Thankfully, better sense prevailed and the DualSense controller can now be updated via your PC itself. You will be able to get the latest bug fixes and optimisation updates for your controller with ease.
Sony is providing a firmware update tool for Windows that lets you upgrade the DualSense controller by connecting it via a cable to the USB port. Bear in mind that the tool provided by the firm only works on Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems. Moreover, the tool doesn’t allow multiple controllers to be updated simultaneously.
