Sony has unveiled the flagship Xperia 1 IV, the successor of the Xperia 1 III. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, and features a 4K 120Hz OLED display.

Sony Xperia 1 IV Price, Availability
The Sony Xperia 1 IV will cost €1,400 (around ₹1,14,00) in Europe. Pre-orders will be available from tomorrow and will arrive in stores in June. It comes in three colourways—Black, Purple, and Ice White. There’s no word on whether it will make its way to India.

The Sony Xperia 1 IV has a flat panel with rounded corners. Its display features a 6.5-inch 4K OLED screen with a Full-HD+ resolution. It comes with a resolution of 4k, refresh rate of 120Hz, and HDR support. Additionally, it supports touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The handset comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
When it comes to imaging, the smartphone flaunts a ZEISS-branded triple camera setup. The system comprises a 12MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens. Sony claims that the telephoto camera features the world’s first optical zoom. The range of the lens is 85mm to 125 mm, which will purportedly offer 3.5-5x optical magnification. The smartphone is also equipped with a 12MP selfie camera with support for 4K HDR video recording.
The Xperia 1 IV is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The smartphone supports 12GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of internal storage. It has 5,000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging technology. Besides, the handset comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. It boots Android 12 OS out of the box.
