Microsoft Surface Pro 8 2-in-1 Tablet Launched In India: Price, Specifications

Microsoft’s Surface Pro 8 has reached the shores of India. The company has also announced that the Surface Pro 7+, which was available only for education and commercial customers, will finally be available for regular customers.  The Surface Pro 8 is a hybrid 2-in-1 device, which can be used as a tablet and a laptop as it comes with a touchscreen, detachable keyboard, and a stylus pen. It also comes with the iconic kickstand, which Surface devices are popular for. The Surface Pro 8 is the most powerful tablet by the company yet as it is powered by Intel’s 11th Generation processors. The tablet runs on Windows 11 and is Intel Evo certified. 

Surface Pro 8 Features, Specifications

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 sports a 13-inch touchscreen display with 2880×1920 pixels resolution and comes with PixelSense tech. It has very minimum bezels surrounding the screen. The display gets a 120Hz refresh rate for an enhanced gaming experience. Uplifting the video watching experience even further is the availability of Dolby Vision and Adaptive Color technology. 

The Surface Pro 8 comes in variants powered by Intel’s 11th Generation Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 processors. It is equipped with up to 32GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage. 

The new Surface Pro Signature detachable keyboard offers storage and charging capabilities for the new Surface Slim Pen 2. The company says that the Surface Slim Pen 2 gets inbuilt haptic feedback that replicates the feeling of writing or drawing with a real pen. 

The tablet is equipped with a 5MP front-facing camera for video calling. There’s a 10MP sensor at the back that is capable of video recording at 4K quality. It gets dual far-field studio microphones for enhanced sound while on calls.  

Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and 2 x Thunderbolt 4 ports. The Surface 8 Pro comes in Wi-Fi only and LTE options. The company claims that it can last up to 16 hours on a single charge. 

Surface Pro 7+ Features, Specifications

The Surface Pro 7+ is powered by Intel’s 11th Gen Core processors and promises double the performance when compared to its predecessor. It comes in variants powered with either Core i3, Core i3, or Core i7 processors. The tablet sports a 12.3-inch touchscreen display with 2,736×1,824 pixels resolution, 267 PPI (Pixels Per Inch), and  PixelSense technology. 

In the photography department, the Surface Pro 7+  comes equipped with a 5MP front-facing camera along with an 8MP rear-facing camera that supports FullHD 1080p video recording. This one also gets dual far-field studio microphones for improved audio capture. 

Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C, USB Type-A, microSD card reader. It comes in Wi-Fi only and  LTE versions.

The Surface Pro 8 and the Surface Pro 7+ are available for pre-order now via select online partners. Both will go on sale in India via Amazon, Reliance Digital, Microsoft authorised dealers and resellers from February 15. Both models come in a slew of variants.
