Tecno Spark 8 With 6.5-inch Display, 16MP Dual Cameras Launched In India: Price, Specifications

Tecno is expanding its Spark smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Tecno Spark 8. The smartphone was first launched in the Nigerian market at the end of August 2021. The Tecno Spark 8 is an affordable Android smartphone that features a 6.5-inch HD+ display and a 16MP dual-camera setup at the rear. The device is powered by MediaTek’s Helio A25 chipset and has 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Other features which the smartphone include a 5,000mAh battery, 4G VoLTE support, a 3.5mm audio jack, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and an 8MP selfie camera.

Tecno Spark 8 Price In India, Availability

The Tecno Spark 8 price in India is ₹7,999 and it will be available for purchase through retail stores starting from September 15, 2021. It is available in three color variants: Atlantic Blue, Iris Purple, and Turquoise Cyan.

The Tecno Spark 8 features a water-drop notch display and the notch houses a selfie camera. The smartphone sports a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display that has HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the Spark 8 is powered by the MediaTek Helio A25 processor. The device ships with 2GB of RAM and packs 64GB of internal storage. As mentioned earlier, the phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor that’s included in the camera housing.

On the software front, the handset boots Android 11 out of the box with HiOS 7.6 UI. As for the optics, the device features a 16MP primary camera and an AI lens (whatever that does, we’re not sure). These sensors are accompanied by a quad-LED flash unit. The rear-facing camera offers 1080p time-lapse photography, Panorama Mode, Portrait Mode, and 120fps slow-motion video recording support. The selfie department of the handset is handled by an 8MP camera.

Connectivity-wise, the Spark 8 offers features such as a dual-SIM card slot, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G VoLTE, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a microUSB port. The device draws power from a 5,000mAh battery and supports 10W charging. The smartphone also has microSD card support for storage expansion.
