Apple has rolled out the Universal Control feature with the new iPadOS 15.4 and macOS 12.3 betas. The feature was first announced by Apple last year in June. If you are using the beta version on your iPad or macOS, you may have received the Universal Control feature. It allows users to use one Mac mouse or trackpad and keyboard to control nearby Macs or iPads. The Universal Control feature works from Mac to Mac or Mac to iPad.

If your iPad isn’t connected to a mouse or keyboard, you can use the Universal Control feature to allow your Mac mouse and keyboard to gain cursor support on the iPad. This handy feature was supposed to be released by Apple in macOS 12. However, as per current Apple’s plan, this feature should be available for everyone in the Spring.

Do note that this new feature is only available for those running developer beta versions of the iPad and macOS. The public beta of both the operating systems should include the Universal Control feature. Apart from rolling out the Universal Control feature, Apple has also released a slew of new features and major changes in the iPad beta version. The iPadOS 15.3 update allows users to use Face ID while wearing a mask. Additionally, the update contains new emojis, Apple Card widgets, and the Keyboard Brightness option.
The macOS 12.3 update includes a security fix for Safari along with a new, native Apple Music app. If you want to update your MacBook to the latest macOS 12.3 software version, you can head to System Preferences > Software update. From there, you can flash the latest update on your MacBook.
