The gaming culture in India is booming, owing to recent investments in the e-sports scene and also because of the revenue systems of some streaming apps like Facebook Gaming, Twitch, and YouTube. Many youngsters have finally realised it as a career opportunity. According to a report by IAMAI (Internet and Mobile Association of India), India’s gaming market could be worth up to $7 billion by 2025. Gaming peripheral manufacturers are ramping up their product portfolio for India. Now, ViewSonic has launched its Elite XG270Q gaming monitor in India. It features a premium bezel-less design, built-in speakers, a 165Hz refresh rate, and RGB lighting to attract Indian gamers.
“XG270Q is designed to achieve an exciting gaming experience with greater visual fluidity and an uninterrupted playtime/gameplay. The newly launched gaming monitor is affordably priced to maximize our consumer/market reach and is ideal for gamers who look for speed and higher refresh rate,” Sanjoy Bhattacharya, Director Sales and Marketing -IT Business, ViewSonic India said in a statement.

The ViewSonic Elite XG270Q gaming monitor comes with a 27-inch QHD IPS LCD display with 16.7 million colours and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The display panel comes with a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and covers 95% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. Gamers would be pleased to know that it comes with a 165Hz refresh rate, for smoother gaming visuals. The monitor is also Nvidia G-Sync compatible and comes with DisplayHDR 400 support for a peak brightness of 400 nits and sustained brightness of 350 nits. The monitor is said to achieve a true 1ms response time. The company also claims that the backlight life of the monitor is up to 30,000 hours.
Talking about its connectivity options, it gets two HDMI 2.0 ports, a USB Type-B port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and three USB Type-A ports. The ViewSonic Elite XG270 comes with a brushed aluminium finished base and weighs 7.9kg. Without the stand, it weighs just 4.6kg. It comes with a 100 x 100mm VESA mount that can tilt, swivel, pivot, and also helps in adjusting the height of the screen. The monitor comes with an inbuilt anchor to route the mouse wire and a hook for mounting headphones.

The ViewSonic Elite XG270Q Monitor retails for ₹79,500 on the company’s website. However, it is available for a significantly lower price of ₹49,775 on Amazon India’s website.
