After weeks of rumours, Vivo will announce its newest smartphone, the V25 Pro in the country on August 17, 2022. The smartphone is based on the Vivo S15 Pro, which debuted a few months ago in the Chinese market. Vivo India used its social media accounts to tease the phone’s design and features, including the colour-changing back panel.

Like previous Vivo smartphones, the phone will be sold both online and offline, with Flipkart being the company’s chosen online retailer this time.

According to rumours, the Vivo V25 Pro will include a 6.5-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. The phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC, a slight improvement over the Dimensity 1200 that drives the V23 Pro, according to the leaked Geekbench listing. The handset is also anticipated to arrive in two variations, with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
On the imaging front, the Vivo V25 Pro is expected to come with a triple camera setup on the rear with a 64MP main sensor, with OIS and EIS, along with an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and 2MP macro sensor. The selfies, on the other hand, will be handled by a 32MP snapper.
The Vivo V25 Pro has a sizable 4,800mAh battery with 66W fast charging support, an in-display fingerprint scanner, AI selfies, Super Night mode, and a colour-changing AG glass back. It runs Android 12 out of the box with FunTouchOS.
