The specifications of Vivo’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the Vivo X80 Pro, are out ahead of its launch. The Vivo X80 Pro will launch alongside the vanilla Vivo X80 and the top dog Vivo X80 Pro+ in China on April 25, 2022. According to a report, the device will pack in a large 2K resolution display, high refresh rate, a flagship Snapdragon processor, quad cameras, and wireless charging, among many other features.

It sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 2K resolution, 120Hz screen refresh rate, and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. Vivo has packed in an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, which is superior to the optical ones.
Being a flagship device, the Vivo X80 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm’s most powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It will be equipped with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and will get 256GB and 512GB storage variants.
Vivo has always been a camera-centric brand and the Vivo X80 Pro will be no exception. The handset will get a quad-camera setup comprising a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.57 aperture, a 48MP ultra-wide shooter, a 12MP portrait/telephoto snapper, and an 8MP periscope camera with 5x optical zoom and up to 60x digital zoom capabilities. The cameras will be Zeiss-branded.
The Vivo X80 Pro will be powered by a 4,700mAh battery pack under its hood. It will come with an 80-watt wired fast charging support and a 50-watt wireless charging tech. The device will run on OriginOS Ocean based on Android 12 in the Chinese market. It is expected to come in cyan blue, orange, and black colour options. The Vivo X80 series is set to be the official smartphone at the FIFA World Cup which will be held in Qatar later this year.
