After teasing it for a while, Vivo has finally confirmed the India launch date of its flagship Vivo X80 series of smartphones. The Vivo X80 series, which includes the vanilla Vivo X80 and the Vivo X80 Pro, will launch in India on May 18, 2022. The Vivo X80 comes with a 120Hz refresh rate QHD+ AMOLED panel, while its vanilla counterpart makes do with a 120Hz refresh rate FHD+ AMOLED panel.

Vivo X80 Series India Launch Confirmed
As seen in the promotional poster , the Vivo X80 lineup of smartphones will launch in India on May 18 at 12PM. Though the brand has not explicitly mentioned whether both devices in the Vivo X80 lineup will launch in India or not, previous leaks suggest that Vivo will indeed launch both the Vivo X80 and the Vivo X80 Pro in India.
Vivo X80 Specifications
The Vivo X80 features a 6.78-inch FHD+ E5 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, up to 1,000 nits brightness, and MEMC support. Powering the Vivo X80 is a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor, which is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard memory.

In terms of software, the Vivo X80 boots the latest Android 12-based FunTouchOS 12 skin out of the box. Coming to the cameras used in the device, the Vivo X80 features a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide angle camera, a 12MP portrait camera with 20x super zoom, and 32MP selfie shooter.
In terms of battery life, the Vivo X80 features a 4,500mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging.
Vivo X80 Pro Specifications
Coming to the Vivo X80 Pro, the device has a 6.78-inch QHD+ E5 10-bit AMOLED LTPO panel with a variable 1-120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1,000Hz instant touch sampling rate, and MEMC support.
Under the hood, the Vivo X80 Pro comes powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, which is paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Just like the standard Vivo X80, the Vivo X80 Pro also runs the latest Android 12-based FunTouchOS 12 skin.
For photography, the Vivo X80 Pro relies on a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide angle camera with gimbal support, an 8MP periscopic camera with 60x super zoom support, ZEISS optics, and a 32MP front camera.
The Vivo X80 Pro is IP68 dust and water resistant. Moreover, the Vivo X80 Pro features a 4,700mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
