Vivo Y22 With 6.55-inch HD+ Display, Helio G85 Processor Launched: Price, Specifications

Vivo has launched a new Y-series smartphone, the Vivo Y22, in Indonesia. The newly launched Vivo Y22 is expected to launch in India in the coming days. However, as of now, the company has not announced the Vivo Y22 India launch date yet.

When it comes to the specifications, the Vivo Y22 makes use of a MediaTek processor and packs up to 6GB of RAM. The phone features an IPS LCD display, dual-camera setup, an 8MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. Additionally, the device has a polycarbonate back panel, 4G support, and 2GB Virtual RAM support.

The Vivo Y22 comes in three colour options: Starlit Blue, Metaverse Green and Summer Cyan. The smartphone’s base model packs 4GB of RAM + 64GB of internal storage. The device is priced at IDR 2,399,000 (roughly ₹12,900). The smartphone also comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. However, as of now, Vivo has not announced the pricing of the top-end variant yet.

The Vivo Y22 is powered by an octa-core Helio G85 processor. The phone packs up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It also has a microSD card slot and 2GB Virtual RAM support. On the software front, this new Y-series device boots Android 12 out of the box with FuntouchOS 12 on top.

The smartphone features a 6.55-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ 1612 × 720 pixels resolution. The display panel has up to 530 nits brightness and an 89.67% screen-to-body ratio. Moving onto the imaging department, the handset features a dual-camera setup. The device sports a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary lens. The main 50MP sensor has an f/1.8 aperture lens, while the 2MP sensor has an f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calling, the phone relies on an 8MP camera.

The device packs a 5,000mAh battery that offers 18W fast charging support. The smartphone has connectivity features such as 4G, dual-SIM card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, OTG support, FM Radio, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. Lastly, the smartphone has IP5X, IPX4 rating and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
