Vivo has launched a new Y-series smartphone in China, dubbed the Vivo Y33s. The latest offering from Vivo is a budget smartphone that is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity processor. The handset packs up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device has a polycarbonate back, 13MP dual-camera setup, 8MP selfie camera, and up to 18W fast charging support.

The Vivo Y33s 5G base model comes with 4GB of RAM and is priced at CNY 1299 (roughly ₹15,500). The mid-tier variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage costs CNY 1399 (roughly ₹16,700). The top-end model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage is priced at CNY1,599 (roughly ₹20,394). The smartphone comes in three colour options—Snow Dawn, Black, and Nebula Blue.

The Vivo Y33s flaunts a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with a HD+ 1600 x 720 pixels resolution. The display panel has a 60Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, and a pixel density of 269 PPI. The device has a water-drop-shaped notch at the top of the display which houses a selfie camera. The device is powered by MediaTek’s octa-core Dimensity 700 processor.

The handset packs up to 8GB of RAM and has 128GB of internal storage. The device runs Android 12 out of the box with Origin OceanOS UI on top. The smartphone sup[ports face unlock and has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

When it comes to optics, the handset features a dual-camera setup. The camera module includes a 13MP main camera sensor and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies and video-calling, the device sports an 8MP camera. As for connectivity, the Y33s has a dual-SIM card slot, 4G VoLTE, 5G, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth v5.1, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.

Keeping the lights on is a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. Additionally, the handset also has a microSD card support for further storage expansion.
