Vodafone Idea (Vi) has announced that it will increase the prices of its 4G prepaid recharge plans in India by up to 25%, starting from November 25, 2021. This move comes right after Airtel announced a 20-25% price hike for its prepaid recharge plans yesterday. Airtel’s new prepaid plan prices will be effective starting November 26, 2021.
Vi said in its press release, “The new plans will start the process of ARPU improvement and help address financial stress faced by the industry. These tariff plans will allow VIL to continue improving India’s Fastest Mobile Network, verified by Ookla, the global leader in fixed broadband and mobile network testing applications. Vi remains committed to play its role in accelerating the realization of the Digital India vision of the government.”
Vi 4G Prepaid Plan, Data Top Up Plan Prices Increased Up To 25%
The earlier Vi recharge plan of ₹79 will now cost ₹99 (from November 26, 2021), and it will offer talk time worth ₹99, 200MB of 4G data, and 1p/ sec voice tariff. Apart from the ₹79, the unlimited voice plans which earlier started at ₹149, has received a price hike of ₹30, bringing its price to ₹179. The ₹179 plan offers 300 SMS per day, 2GB of data, and unlimited voice calling.
If you are looking for plans with 56 days validity, you will have to shell out ₹479 instead of ₹399. Under the ₹399 plan, users get 1.5GB of 4G data per day along with 100 SMS and unlimited calling.

Apart from increasing the prices of 4G prepaid plans, Vi also has hiked the prices of data top-up plans as well. Starting November 26, 2021, you will have to spend ₹58 for the 3GB data top-up plan. Previously, the price of the 3GB data plan was ₹48. Similarly, the data top-up plan which used to cost ₹98, ₹251, and ₹351 will now sell for ₹118, ₹298, and ₹418, respectively.
