Recently, WhatsApp issued two big updates with a slew of new features, including the ability to exchange 2GB files, the ability to leave groups silently, and rich links in the Status, among others. Now, in order to maintain a balanced experience across platforms, the company must always upgrade to the most recent releases. WhatsApp is known for discontinuing support for outdated Android and iOS devices. According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp will phase off support for iOS 10 and iOS 11 on iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C in the coming months.
According to the report, WhatsApp will stop supporting iOS 10 and iOS 11 on October 24, 2022. WhatsApp has declared on their blog that iOS 12 and later versions are recommended for optimal usability.
