The Xiaomi 12 series of smartphones is set to get confusing just like the Redmi Note 11 series. The brand recently added the Xiaomi 12S series of smartphones to the lineup, and now it has started teasing another device on Twitter. The new device, Xiaomi 12 Lite, will join the others in the lineup and will possibly replace the Xiaomi 11 Lite smartphone. It will be a global product and will be a slim and lightweight smartphone just like its predecessor.
Xiaomi didn’t reveal any specifics of its upcoming device, but if reports are to be believed, the launch is imminent. The renders of the Xiaomi 12 Lite suggest that the phone will be available in pink, cyan, and black colourways at launch. Xiaomi’s official teaser also includes purple, pink, cyan, and black coloured bubbles, hinting at its possible colour palette.
Xiaomi 12 Lite: Features (Rumoured)
The device was recently spotted by leakster Roland Quandt on Orange’s Spanish website. The images in the listing are identical to the renders. Additionally, a Twitter user shared a hands-on video of the alleged device. The device seems to be carrying a flat rear and flat sides design, which is the current trend in the smartphone industry. There are no visible antenna lines on the sides, hinting at a polycarbonate frame. The bezels are very slim and uniform all around. It gets a centred punch hole camera cut-out on the display.
According to the e-commerce listing, the Xiaomi 11 Lite will sport a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, 402ppi pixel density, 120Hz screen refresh rate, and HDR 10 support. We can assume the panel to support 10-bit colours, just like the previous iteration.

The smartphone will come with a 108MP primary sensor, which is a definite improvement over the 64MP primary camera of the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G. The ancillary cameras include an 8MP ultrawide shooter and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfie duties, there will be a 32MP camera at the front.
Furthermore, the handset will get stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. It will be powered by a 4,300mAh battery pack, which is almost the same as before, but will be coupled with a faster 67W fast charging support. The Xiaomi 12 Lite will run on Miui 13 based on Android 12 out of the box.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite slim, lightweight, and compact smartphone will carry a price tag of €506 (around ₹41,000) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant in Europe. However, expect it to be priced at around ₹25,000 in India.
