Xiaomi 12X, Xiaomi 12, and Xiaomi 12 Pro Launched: Price, Specifications

Xiaomi has announced the Xiaomi 12 series devices at an event in the domestic market. The Xiaomi 12 series consist of three models—the Xiaomi 12X, Xiaomi 12, and Xiaomi 12 Pro. The Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12X come with a compact form factor, while the Xiaomi 12 Pro is a regular-sized smartphone. All three handsets pack Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, 120Hz displays, 50MP camera setups, and come preloaded with the company’s proprietary Android skin—the MIUI 13. Xiaomi 12 Specifications and Features

The Xiaomi 12 flaunts a 6.28-inch 12-bit AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2,400 x 1,080 pixel) resolution, 419ppi pixel density, and 50,00,000:1 contrast ratio. The panel can refresh up to 120 times a second and can go as high as 1100nits in terms of brightness. It also comes with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision certification and features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Powering the Xiaomi 12 is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor that is built on Samsung’s 4nm fabrication process. It comes coupled with a prime X2 core and Adreno GPU. The device sports a 4,500mAh battery unit with 67W fast charging support. It also supports 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. It also comes with vapour chamber liquid cooling for heat dissipation.

Moving on to the cameras, the Xiaomi 12 offers a triple-rear camera setup and dual-tone LED flash. The primary shooter on the device is a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with 1/1.56-inch sensor size, an f/1.88 aperture, 24mm focal length, and optical image stabilization. Accompanying it is a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 123° field of view and a n f/2.4 aperture. The device also features a 5MP macro lens with a 50mm equivalent focal length. It can record 24fps videos in 8K resolution, and 30fps, 60fps in 4K resolution. For selfies and video calls, there is a 32MP shooter with an 80.5° field of view.

The Xiaomi 12 packs in a Type-C charging port, an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, and Dual speaker setup with Harman Kardon tuning and Dolby Atmos. Connectivity options include Dual SIM, 5G, 4G, VoLTE, Dual-band WiFi, WiFi 6 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and Dual-band GPS. It measures 152.7 x 69.9 x 8.16mm, weighs 180grams, and comes in black, blue, and purple colour variants. There is also a green colour variant with a Vegan leather finish which weighs 179grams and is 8.66mm thick.

Xiaomi 12X Specifications and Features

Xiaomi has also launched the Xiaomi 12X, which is a toned-down version of the Xiaomi 12. The Xiaomi 12X is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 mobile processor coupled with Adreno 650 GPU. The Xiaomi 12X doesn’t support wireless and reverse wireless charging. Also, it doesn’t come in a green Vegan Leather finish and will be sold in three colour variants—black, blue, and purple. It is also a bit lighter compared to the Xiaomi 12, and weighs 176grams.

Xiaomi 12 Pro Specifications and Features

The Xiaomi 12 Pro flaunts a 6.73-inch 10-bit LTPO AMOLED display with a QHD+ (3,200 x 1,440 pixel) resolution, 1500nits brightness, 120Hz refresh rate and 80,00,000:1 contrast ratio. It also comes with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision certification and features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Similar to the Xiaomi 12, the Xiaomi 12 Pro is also powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and Adreno GPU. The device is equipped with a 4,600mAh battery unit with 120W fast charging support. It also features 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging support. The smartphone also comes with vapour chamber liquid cooling for heat dissipation.

Talking about the optics, the Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with a 50MP triple-rear camera setup and dual-tone LED flash. The primary shooter on the handset is a Sony IMX707 sensor with a 1/1.28-inch sensor size, an f/1.9 aperture, 24mm focal length, and optical image stabilization. The smartphone also has a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide-angle lens with a 115° field of view and an f/2.2 aperture. There is also a 50MP Samsung JN1 portrait lens with f/1.9 aperture, 2x optical zoom, and 48mm focal length on the 12 Pro.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro can record 24fps videos in 8K resolution, and 30fps, 60fps in 4K resolution. For selfies and video calls, there is a 32MP shooter with an 80.5° field of view. The handset also offers a 32MP shooter.
