Xiaomi has added the Mi Box 4S Max to its burgeoning Android TV set-top box collection, which offers significant storage and RAM increases over its competitors. The Xiaomi Mi Box 4S Max has a similar appearance to previous generations, however, it has hardware improvements over the Mi Box 4S. Let’s get down to business with the specifics.
Xiaomi Mi Box 4S Max
The Amlogic S905X3 CPU with the Amlogic Video Engine 10 powers the Xiaomi Mi Box 4S Max. The box can output in 4K at 60 frames per second, but Xiaomi claims it can also handle 8K, but no precise frame rate has been stated. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, as well as a remote.
An HDMI 2.1 port and a USB 3.0 port are provided, as well as an in-box remote that is stated to support Google Assistant via an in-built microphone. Because MIUI for TV is presently only available in China, it comes pre-installed atop Android TV. Since this is now a China-only model, many of the most popular Western streaming services do not work on the box.
