A lot of brands are working on bringing 200W charging solutions to the market this year and Xiaomi seems to be among them. The company already has a 120W charging tech on a number of their budget and flagship smartphones and now it’s time for the 200W setup to go mainstream.
The Chinese 3C agency has given its certification to Xiaomi’s 200W charger. The 3C regulatory organization in China has granted certification to a new power adapter with the model number MDY-13-EU. According to the certification, the new Xiaomi charger can charge at a maximum rate of 20V/10A (200W). It is capable of charging at 5V3A, 9V3A, 11V6A, and 17V10A. The listing happens to be released at the same time as iQOO introduces its flagship smartphone with 200W charging.

Xiaomi showed off their 200W charging system earlier this year on the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, which has a 4,500mAh battery. A smartphone with a 4,000mAh battery may be charged to 50 percent of its capacity with a 200W charger in three minutes, and to 100 percent in another five minutes.
According to the pattern set by Xiaomi, which introduced its 120W charging arrangement on the Mi Mix 4 last year, the company may soon announce the Mi Mix 5 with a 200W charging setup. This is still just a notion, so the company can decide to introduce it on a different smartphone model.
