Xiaomi has launched yet another smartphone under the Redmi K50 lineup—the Redmi K50 Ultra. The K50 Ultra is the company’s fourth handset under the Redmi K50 lineup. To those unaware, Xiaomi already has the Redmi K50 and Redmi K50 Gaming under the K-series in China. The latest Redmi K50 series smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and a 5,000mAh battery unit.

The Redmi K50 Ultra is available only in China as of now. Xiaomi has not revealed information about the global availability of the smartphone.

It supports up to 480Hz touch sampling rate, 50,00,000: 1 contrast ratio, and DCI-P3 colour gamut. It also features support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision content.
The Redmi K50 Ultra is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and an Adreno 730 GPU. The system on chip is manufactured on TSMC’s 4nm process and brings with it up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone comes pre-loaded with Xiaomi’s proprietary MIUI 13, based on Android 12.
The latest Redmi smartphone offers a triple-rear camera setup that includes a 108MP primary shooter with Samsung HM6 sensor, 1/1.67-inch sensor size, and OIS. Accompanying it is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120° field of view and an F2.2 aperture. There is also a 2MP macro sensor with an F2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, it packs a 20MP Sony IMX596 sensor at the front.
The all-new Redmi K50 Ultra comes equipped with a 5,000mAh battery unit and 120W HyperCharge fast charging support. It features a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers. It offers a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos audio. It lacks the 3.5mm audio jack but it offers Hi-Res audio.
The Redmi K50 Ultra comes in three colour options—Elegant Black, Silver, and Ice Blue. There is also a Redmi K50 Ultra Mercedes Petronas Edition but it is available only in 12GB + 512GB configuration. It weighs 202grams and measures 163.1 × 75.9 × 7.9mm. Connectivity options of the device include dual-SIM, 5G, WiFi 6E, NFC, GPS, Glonass, Galileo, Beidou, and NavIC.
