Xiaomi Redmi Smart TV X 55-inch And 65-inch Models Launched Alongside Redmi AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 Router

Chinese smartphone and consumer electronics manufacturer, Xiaomi, has launched its updated 55-inch and 65-inch Redmi Smart TV X (2022) in China. These 4K smart TVs feature a variable refresh rate, a gaming mode, and MEMC (Motion Estimation Motion Compensation) for a smoother visual experience. The company also introduced a new Wi-Fi 6 router called the Redmi Router AX1800, which was launched in a few countries under the ‘Mi’ brand last year.

The Redmi Smart TV X uses a 4K LCD display panel with a 120Hz variable refresh rate, HDR (HDR10 and Dolby Vision). It covers about 94% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and comes with good calibration (deltaE = 2). The televisions come with a metallic body and an all-metal base stand. There are two 12.5W speakers, which come with support for Dolby Atmos. It also gets two ducts and a sealed box with a 2 x 0.38L large sound cavity to boost the volume output. The TVs come with four microphones with far-field voice recognition for hands-free voice commands. The Redmi Smart TV X is powered by a MediaTek quad-core CPU based on ARM’s Cortex-A73 CPU cores as well as MediaTek’s AI-PQ and AI-AQ video and audio quality enhancements. The TV has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. 

The Redmi Smart TV X offers low latency of just 4ms with its Gaming Mode when hooked up with your gaming console or gaming PC. The TV comes with the AMD Free Sync Premium feature, which provides a variable refresh rate to provide better power efficiency. The MEMC technology adds black frames to your standard videos to provide a 120fps video output, but that also results in a soap opera effect. Connectivity features include two HDMI 2.0 ports, one HDMI 2.1 port, two USB ports, an RJ-45 port, ATV/DTMB, an AV port, and a S/PDIF port.

Xiaomi Redmi AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 Router Specifications

The Xiaomi Redmi AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 router supports OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access). It has four external 5 dBi high-gain omnidirectional antennas that support LDPC error correction algorithms to improve anti-interference capabilities and signal coverage for data transmission. The router also features beamforming, BSS colouring, OpenWRT operating system, WPA3, MU-MIMO, mesh network support, and IPv6. It is powered by a dual-core processor and is equipped with 128MB of RAM. The Redmi AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 router comes in white.

Redmi Smart TV X (2022), Redmi AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 Router Price & Availability

The Redmi Smart TV X 55-inch is priced at CNY 2,999 (around ₹35,256) in China. The Redmi Smart TV X 65-inch is priced at CNY 3,999 (around ₹47,000). The TVs will go on sale in the country from October 31, 2021, onwards and will be available to purchase via Xiaomi stores and online via JD.com. There’s no update about the launch of these TVs in India.

The Redmi AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 router will cost you CNY 299 (around ₹3,515). There is no word about its launch here in India either.
