Xiaomi has launched a new streaming dongle called Xiaomi TV Stick 4K. It is the successor to Xiaomi’s first-generation media streaming dongle—Mi TV Stick (Full HD Model)—that was launched in India last year. As the name suggests, the new media streaming device can stream and play 4K videos, and it supports Dolby Vision. The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K runs Google’s Android TV 11 operating system and has built-in Chromecast and Google Assistant. The new streaming device also supports the new AV1 video codec. The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K supports 4K video content playback and streaming, complete with Dolby Vision Dolby Atmos audio, and DTS HD audio support. It comes bundled with a Mi Voice Remote which has dedicated buttons for Google Assistant, Netflix, and Prime Video. The TV stick can be connected to any TV using the HDMI port. The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K runs Google Android TV 11 operating system with Xiaomi’s Patchwall UI.
The streaming device also has a built-in Chromecast and support for multiple video codecs such as AV1, VP9, H.265, H.264, MPEG-2, and MPEG-1.
