Acer is expanding its Vero-series with the introduction of the new Chromebook, the Acer Chromebook Vero 514. The company had first debuted its Vero series laptop, the Acer Aspire Vero, in 2021. Since then, the brand has been expanding its product lineup. When it comes to the specifications, the newly launched Vero 514 features a chassis made with 30% PCR plastic and 90% recycled paper packaging.

The Acer Vero 514 sports a 14-inch display and is powered by a 12th-gen Intel processor with Xe graphics. The Acer Chromebook Vero 514 is priced at USD 499.99 (roughly ₹40,000). It will be available in the United States starting in October. In the EMEA, the Chromebook will start shipping in November starting at EUR 599 (roughly ₹47,600).

The Acer Chromebook Vero 514 is made using recycled material which consists of 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic in the chassis, 50% PCR plastic in the keycaps, 100% ocean-bound plastics on the touchpad surface, and 90% recycled paper packaging. The Chromebook features a 14-inch Full HD anti-glare Corning Gorilla Glass display that has 300 nits brightness and a wide 100% sRGB color range. It has thin bezels and an 88% screen-to-body ratio. This new Chromebook also comes with a touchscreen option in some markets.

The Chromebook is powered by a 12th-gen Intel processor with Xe graphics. Users have the option to buy this new product with up to Core i7-1255U CPU configuration. Furthermore, this new laptop packs up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage. The base model can be purchased in Intel Core i3-1215U CPU which comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB SSD storage.

As far as the rest of the key features go, the Vero 514 has Wi-Fi 6E support, two USB Type-C ports, USB 3.2 Type-A, HDMI port, MIL-STD-810H military standards for durability, full HD webcam, DTS audio with Smart Amplifier, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Lastly, it can reportedly be charged to 50 percent in just 30 minutes.
