Bharti Airtel announced that it has inked a strategic partnership with Axis Bank to launch a co-branded credit card, christened the ‘Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card’. It is touted to offer “industry-leading benefits” exclusively for Airtel’s subscriber base.

Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card holders will be rewarded with the following offers:
- 25 percent cashback on Airtel Mobile/DTH recharges, Airtel Black and Airtel Xstream Fiber payments.
- 10 percent cashback on electricity/gas/water bill payments via the Airtel Thanks app.
- 10 percent cashback for shopping on BigBasket, Swiggy, Zomato.
- 1 percent cashback on all other spends.
- Amazon e-Voucher worth Rs 500 on card activation within 30 days of issuance.
The credit card will be available exclusively for eligible Airtel customers via the Airtel Thanks mobile app. To avail these benefits, you will have to pay a nominal joining fee of ₹500, which can be offset by the promised Amazon e-Voucher of the same value.
Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card: Mutually Beneficial
Axis Bank MD and CEO Amitabh Chaudhry said that the company will leverage Airtel’s widespread reach and services to offer customers the opportunity to “maximise value, while also aiding the digital economy exponentially”.

Bharti Airtel MD and CEO Gopal Vittal called it a “win-win telco-bank partnership” which will provide Airtel customers with access to “Axis Bank’s world-class financial services portfolio and exclusive benefits”. Vittal highlighted the mutual benefits by adding that “Axis Bank will benefit from Airtel’s strong digital capabilities and deep distribution reach”.
Airtel is building a formidable financial services portfolio as part of its endeavor to offer world-class digital services to its customers.
With this partnership, Axis Bank will commence using Airtel’s C-PaaS platform, which comprises services such as streaming, call masking and contact center solutions, along with cybersecurity services. Both companies have also announced their collaboration across cloud and data center services.
