Alienware m15 R7 and m17 R5 with AMD Ryzen 6000 Series CPUs, Dell XPS 13 Plus with Intel P-Series CPU Announced at CES 2022

At CES 2022, Dell announced three new laptops: Dell XPS 13 Plus, Alienware m15 R7, and Alienware m17 R5. The Alienware m15 R7 flaunts a 15-inch display and comes with Nvidia GeForce RTX 30-series GPUs. On the other hand, the Alienware m17 R5 has a 17-inch 4K display, AMD Ryzen 9 6980HX processor, and a 97Whr battery. Both Alienware laptops also feature Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision. The Dell XPS 13 Plus comes with a 13.4-inch 16:10 display and packs an Intel 12th Gen. P-series processor. Let us take a look at the specifications of all these three laptops:

Alienware m17 R5, m15 R7 Specifications, Features

The Alienware m17 R5 laptop boasts a 17-inch 4K display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness, and 100% sRGB color gamut. The m17 R5 can also be purchased in Full HD resolution with 165Hz or 360Hz refresh rate options. It uses the AMD Ryzen 9 6980HX processor, but users can also choose among the AMD Ryzen 7 6800H or AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX CPU options.

The graphics are handled by either NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU. The laptop can also be configured with AMD Radeon RX 6700M 10GB or AMD Radeon RX 6850M XT 12GB GPU.

The laptop is powered by a 97Whr battery. Connectivity features of the Alienware m17 R5 include a USB Type-C port, 15W Power Delivery, three USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, DisplayPort 1.4, an RJ-45 port, and a 3.5mm headset jack.

The Alienware m15 R7 has a 15-inch display, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos. It has the Nvidia GeForce RTX 30-series GPU. The rest of the specifications of the m15 R7 haven’t been announced yet.

The Alienware m15 R7 cost $1,499 (around ₹1,11,616), whereas the Alienware m17 R5 will retail for a starting price of $1,599 (around ₹1,19,062). These laptops will be available in spring 2022.

Dell XPS 13 Plus specifications, Pricing

The Dell XPS 13 Plus is a redesigned version of the XPS 13, featuring a 13.4-inch display with 4K resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. It has a haptic touchpad and capacitive touch buttons for the function row. The laptop uses the Intel 12th Gen P-series processor. It has a 720p webcam, stereo speakers, a backlit keyboard, and just two Thunderbolt 4 ports.

The laptop comes in two colours: Platinum and Graphite. The price of the Dell XPS 13 Plus is $1,199 (around ₹89,300). Similar to the aforementioned Alienware laptops, the XPS 13 Plus will start shipping in the spring of 2022.
