At its annual hardware event on Wednesday, Amazon unveiled a host of new gadgets with new features ahead of the holiday season. Among the things announced was a new Echo Show 15, the company’s 15-inch smart display for homes. The new Echo Show 15 now comes with a Fire TV streaming system that turns it into a smart TV. While you could earlier catch up on shows on Netflix, Prime Video and the likes, the Fire TV support now expands the sources of streaming content, making the smart display all the more usable.

There’s also Bluetooth connectivity, ambient light sensor, and customizable widgets in the UI.
The Amazon Echo 15 with Fire TV adds to Amazon’s entertainment offerings on the device, giving you access to a personal library as well as numerous streaming apps and videos. The new Echo Show 15 will be integrated with Amazon’s Fire TV service and you can stream TV shows, movies and if you are in the US, you can even stream sports like NFL Thursday Night Football. Amazon states that Disney+, Paramount Plus, and Showtime will be among the new streaming apps available.
The Fire TV app will also be available for the previous Echo Show 15 devices as well, as an opt-in feature. The Echo Show 15 comes with Alexa voice assistant, and you can give commands to do a variety of tasks with your voice. Soon, you can also buy an Alexa Voice Remote to control your Echo Show 15.
It also offers a host of smart home capabilities. You can order stuff on Amazon using the device, watch shows and videos, make to-do lists, set up home security alerts, do video chats, and more.
Amazon Echo Show 15 Price and Availability
The new Echo Show 15 is priced at $250 (roughly ₹20,400) and will be available soon in the US. Unfortunately, the launch event did not mention the availability of the device in India.
