AMD has introduced its latest Radeon RX 6400 graphics card in the market. The card is RDNA2- based and comes with a watered-down Navi 24 GPU of the Radeon RX 6500 XT. AMD is targeting its newest graphic cards towards folks who want to build a compact PC. The AMD Radeon RX 6400 GPU has been launched with partners such as ASRock, Biostar, Gigabyte, MSI, PowerColor, Sapphire, and XFX.

This means it can draw all the power via the PCIe slot. You won’t need to worry about PSUs to install this card in any computer system. AMD recommends a minimum power supply unit of 350W. Most of the 6400 series cards will feature single-slot cooling or low profile PCBs, making them a perfect choice for compact PC builds.
The AMD Radeon RX 6400 GPU features 768 shader units grouped into 12 compute units along with 12 ray accelerators. It comes with a base frequency of 2039MHz, with a maximum boost frequency of 2321MHz. The Radeon RX 6400 GPU is equipped with 4GB of GDDR6 memory.
AMD’s Smart Access Memory technology is expected to give a performance boost in gaming. The company recommends pairing the GPU with an AMD Ryzen 5000 Series processor or AMD Ryzen 3000 Series processor to unlock its true potential. The firm claims the RX 6400 can maintain a stable 60fps in most games available. However, you might have to dial down the graphics quality setting for AAA titles.
The Radeon RX 6400 lacks the ray tracing feature that’s available on the previously launched Radeon RX 6400 XT. The RX 6000 series comes with AMD RDNA 2 architecture and AMD FidelityFX 2, which offers realistic lighting, reflections, and shadows while gaming. The card comes with a single HDMI 2.1 port and a DisplayPort 1.4

The AMD Radeon RX 6400 prices are said to start at $159.99 (approx. ₹12,200) in the US. AMD hasn’t revealed any information about its availability in India yet.
