Although the website has revealed some dubious rumours in the past, 52Audio has historically delivered accurate information regarding Apple’s upcoming audio devices.
According to the report, there will be a significant number of new features. Although we had heard some of these rumours before, the report from today is far more detailed.
- Updated H1 Chip – An improved SiP packaging technology and self-adaptive noise-canceling features are anticipated for the redesigned H1 chip. It will also have improved power consumption and performance.
- Heart Rate Detection – According to the report, this technology will allow for in-ear heart rate monitoring.
- Find My – The Find My app will be able to locate the AirPods Pro 2 if they have the expected full Find My capabilities. According to earlier rumours, the case will contain a speaker that will enable them to play a sound when misplaced.
- Sound Improvements – The AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 3 would both use “combinations of specialized high-amplitude drive units and high-dynamic-range amplifiers” for their acoustics. There will be audio sharing, spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, and self-adaptive equalization.
- Hearing Aid capabilities – The AirPods Pro 2 will serve as a hearing aid and as per the report, this functionality will use the charging case for taking in the audio which will then be passed onto the buds. We have doubts about this actually happening but the 52Audio team claims otherwise.
- USB Type C – Finally, instead of Lightning, the AirPods Pro 2 could adopt a USB-C port for charging.
Since the rumour has not yet been validated, we might not even see the majority of the capabilities described above on the most recent model of AirPods Pro. What do you expect from the AirPods Pro 2? Let us know down in the comments section!
