It has been around a month since Apple released the iOS 15.2 update to iPhones. The company has now released a new update—iOS 15.2.1—to fix bugs related to Apple CarPlay and the Messages app. In the Messages app, images shared through the iCloud link weren’t showing up, but that has now been fixed.
Let us take a look at what the new iOS update has in store for the iPhones.
Apple iOS 15.2.1 Update: What’s New?
The iOS 15.2.1 update can be installed on your iPhone by heading to Settings > General > Software Update. The latest update weighs in around 960MB (for the iPhone 13 Pro Max) and comes with the build number 19C63. Below is a list of bug fixes that the iOS 15.2.1 update brings.
- Messages may not load photos sent using an iCloud Link
- Third-party CarPlay apps may not respond to input

If you were running iOS 15.2 software, and were facing the issues mentioned above, the iOS 15.2.1 update tends to fix both of them. Additionally, iPad users need not fret as Apple is also rolling out iPadOS 15.2.1 simultaneously to eligible iPads, and it fixes the issue involving Messages not loading photos sent using an iCloud Link.
The iOS 15.2.1 update is a rather incremental update and is more or less meant to fix the inherent bugs found in iOS 15.2, which was a major update for iPhone users. iOS 15.2 brought Apple Music Voice Plan, new communication safety features in Messages, App Privacy Report in Settings, and more.
