iOS 16 could bring with it a handful of new apps and “new ways of interacting” with the system. Ahead of WWDC 2022, which is scheduled for next month, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has a few predictions for the upcoming iOS.
In his Power On newsletter, Gurman says that iOS 16 may not get a cosmetic makeover, reiterating last month’s predictions. However, it may offer new ways of interacting with the iOS. It could be accompanied by some brand-new Apple apps.
While I don’t expect Apple to present a full redesign of the software, there should be major changes across the system, new ways of interacting and some fresh Apple apps. The news about watchOS 9 will be significant as well.

However, they were left disappointed as they continued to remain non-interactive, unlike their Android counterparts.
Gurman also said that watchOS 9 will get a major upgrade, echoing his previous sentiments that it will get significant activity and health tracking upgrades.
Last month, it was reported that iOS 16 (codenamed Sydney) will be previewed at WWDC 2002, which will be held from June 6 to 10 this year. Gurman had noted that the notification system could get a massive upgrade.
Apart from iOS 16 and watchOS 9, Apple will preview iPadOS 16, macOS 13, and tvOS 16 during WWDC 2022. Following this, developers will be able to test out the latest Apple operating systems. The iPhone maker will then release it to public beta testers over the course of summer. Once beta testing is successfully completed in the fall, iOS 16 will be available to the public. This will be accompanied by the launch of the new iPhones.
