Apple has finally launched the iPhone 14 series during its “Far Out” event. The 2022 iPhone lineup consists of four iPhones: Apple iPhone 14, Apple iPhone 14 Plus, Apple iPhone 14 Pro, and the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max. The company has ditched the mini variant of the iPhone from its new lineup. It has been replaced by a Plus model.

The Apple iPhone 14 features a 6.1-inch OLED display, an Apple A15 Bionic processor, and a 12MP dual-camera setup on the rear, among other things. Let us take a look at the Apple iPhone 14 price, features, specifications, and availability.

The Apple iPhone 14 features a 6.1-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution, HDR10, Dolby Vision, a 120Hz refresh rate, and peak HDR brightness of 1200 nits. Powering the device is the A15 Bionic processor from last year, built using TSMC’s 5nm process. The iPhone 14 runs the iOS 16 operating system out of the box.

In terms of imaging, the iPhone 14 features a dual-camera setup on the rear. There is a 12MP primary camera with a faster aperture, a larger sensor, and bigger pixels. Apple claims that this brings a 49 per cent improvement in quality in low-light environments. Meanwhile, the secondary camera is a 12MP ultrawide one. On the front, the phone has a selfie camera with autofocus.

The iPhone 14 offers improved images with its Deep Fusion feature which is applied earlier on uncompressed images. Apple calls this function, which is touted to improve performance in low-light environments, the Photonic Engine. There’s also an Action Mode that can be used while shooting videos. This mode is said to offer smoother videos by offering better stabilization.

The phone’s frame is made using aluminium, while the front and rear of the device are covered by a ceramic shield. The iPhone 14 is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance. It is available in five colours: Midnight, Starlight, blue, purple, and Product Red.

Furthermore, the Apple iPhone 14 supports 5G. It also comes with a new Crash Detection mode that utilises the phone’s sensors to detect crashes so that the authorities can be notified. The smartphone features Emergency SOS via Satellite, which will come into action when you go off the grid and need help.

Apple’s iPhone 14 will come with eSIM, which makes it easy to switch between plans and brings added security. The iPhone maker has announced that all US models of the iPhone 14 will ship without a SIM tray. As for the battery, Apple claims that the iPhone 14 series offers the best battery life ever in an iPhone.

Apple iPhone 14 Price, Availability

The Apple iPhone 14 price in India is ₹79,900 for the 128GB model, ₹89,900 for the 256GB model, and ₹1,09,900 for the 512GB model. It will be available for pre-order starting September 9, 2022, and it will be available for purchase from September 16, 2022.
