Instead, the bigger iPhone 14 Max will be slotted between the vanilla iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro in the lineup. While it is almost confirmed that there will be a Max variant, its terminology isn’t confirmed. Now, leaked cases by ESR reveal that it could be called the iPhone 14 Plus instead. Another, case maker, CASETiFY, also listed protective cases for the iPhone 14 Plus variant.
It’s quite likely that the new variant could be named the iPhone 14 Plus, going by these leaks. Naming it “Max” might have caused confusion between the iPhone 14 Max and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. iPhone 14 Plus seems like an apt nomenclature for this device and would make it easier for prospective buyers to differentiate between the variants.
The new iPhone 14 series of smartphones are expected to be powered by a new Apple A16 Bionic processor. They could get a higher resolution primary camera and are rumoured to come with a satellite calling feature. The iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max may get a different pill-shaped camera cutout.
As for the pricing, AppleTrack has leaked the prices of the iPhone 14 devices on Twitter. The vanilla iPhone 14 is reported to be priced at $749 (approx. ₹59,500), the iPhone 14 Plus at $849 (approx. ₹67,400), iPhone 14 Pro for $1,049 (approx. ₹83,000), and the iPhone 14 Pro Max for $1,149 (approx. ₹91,200). Folks in India may have to pay more due to heavy taxation.
