Apple is rumoured to launch the iPhone 14 on September 7, 2022. As the launch date approaches, the rumour mills continue to churn out even more speculations. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports that iPhone 14 Pro models will sport a new ultra-wide lens.
Kuo shared on Twitter that he expects the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max to feature a new ultra-wide lens with a larger sensor. This new sensor will likely capture clearer images even in low-light conditions.

Kuo states that this camera improvement could drive up the cost, making the upcoming iPhone 14 models up to 70 percent more expensive than its predecessors.
According to past rumours, the iPhone 14 Pro is set to receive other camera enhancements as well. The upcoming models are reported to feature a 48MP wide-angle lens that can capture 8K videos. The selfie camera is expected to sport a sensor with an f/1.9 aperture.
Additionally, the iPhone 14 is rumoured to come with a 6.1-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The display will sport a wide notch at the top for the front camera and Face ID sensors. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max are rumoured to feature a standard 60Hz refresh rate display. On the other hand, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max could have always-on displays with variable refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz.
The non-Pro iPhone 14 models will be equipped with an A15 Bionic processor. Meanwhile, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be powered by an A16 Bionic chipset. The upcoming iPhones are also expected to arrive with a smart calling feature. The device is rumoured to support 30W fast charging.
The iPhone 14 will debut on September 7, 2022 at Apple’s Far out event. It be streamed online on YouTube, Apple’s website, and the Apple TV app.
