Apple has been producing the iPhone SE range, mostly for emerging markets and customers looking to venture into the Apple ecosystem on a budget. While the 2022 iPhone SE, which is based on the iPhone 8, maintained the same appearance as the previous generation, it appears that things will be very different with the next model.

He states that the next iPhone SE, also known as the iPhone SE 4, will be “simply an iPhone XR.” This implies that Apple will go for a more contemporary design with smaller bezels, a notch, and Face ID in place of the outdated form factor of the iPhone 8 with its large bezels and Home button. This could be due to the fact that the iPhone SE sales have been declining since last iterations and the root cause is most likely the outdated design.
Other information about the new iPhone SE is still unknown at this time. Rumours suggest that the device will most likely have a larger display—possibly a 6.1-inch panel similar to the iPhone XR. Apple will likely equip it with the A15 Bionic chip, as it does with some iPhone 14 series models. The iPhone maker could also upgrade the camera sensors for the next iPhone SE or may include additional software features like Night Mode.
The new design improvements, larger display, quicker CPU, and camera would certainly add to the cost of the new iPhone SE 2023. As a result, the price would probably increase as well, and we may be looking at a $500 phone.
