Apple has finally sent out invites for its first big event of the year—the Spring event. Just like the last two years, it will be held virtually, on March 8 at 10:00 am PST (11:30 pm IST). The eagerly-awaited event is rumoured to unveil various Apple products such as the iPhone SE 3, a new iPad Air, and at least one upgraded Mac model.
Let’s peek at what Apple could announce at next week’s event.
iPhone SE 3
The third generation iPhone SE may not get any significant design changes. However, if rumours are to be believed, it could be the most pocket-friendly 5G phone. It may also come with an A15 bionic processor, faster 5G connectivity, and Touch ID.
Apple is also expected to roll out iOS 15.4 in March. This update will bring support for Face ID while wearing a mask, a new gender-neutral Siri voice, Universal Control, and more.
Next-Gen iPad Air
Don’t expect a makeover for the upcoming iPad Air either, as reports claim that it will not get any major design upgrades. Rumours suggest that, just like the iPhone SE 3, the future iPad Air could get 5G support and a faster chip. It may also get a new camera with Center Stage.
Apple could also roll out iPadOS 15.4 around the same time.
High-End Mac mini
Apple is expected to unveil a high-end Mac mini with a design upgrade. Moreover, it could feature M1 Max and M1 Pro chips, touted to replace the current intel-based Mac mini. It may come equipped with four Thunderbolt ports, two USB-A ports, an Ethernet port, and an HDMI port. The upcoming M1 Mac mini may also sport a magnetic charging cable.
M2 MacBook Pro
Another hotly-anticipated Apple product is the future MacBook Pro. It is rumoured to be powered by the next-gen M2 chip. It could appear similar to the current 13-inch MacBook Pro. Moreover, it may sport a Touch Bar and ditch the pesky notch.
