Asus ROG Phone 5S, Asus ROG Phone 5S Pro Launched In India: Price, Specifications

Asus has finally launched its Asus ROG Phone 5S family of smartphones in India. The Asus ROG Phone 5S and the Asus ROG Phone 5S Pro were unveiled last year, but it’s now that the brand has taken the wraps off its most powerful series yet in the country. Both devices come powered by Qualcomm’s flagship SoC from last year, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ processor, and feature an E4 AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Let’s take a look at the India pricing details, specifications, and features of the newly launched Asus ROG Phone 5S series of smartphones and find out what the devices have in store for us.

Asus ROG Phone 5S, Asus ROG Phone 5S Price In India

Starting with the Asus ROG Phone 5S, the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of the device has been priced at ₹49,999, while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant comes with a price tag of ₹57,999.

Coming to the Asus ROG Phone 5S Pro, the device, with a whopping 18GB RAM and 512GB storage, is priced at ₹79,999 in the country.

Both devices will be available exclusively via Flipkart in India starting from February 18, 12pm.

Starting with the displays of the devices, both, the Asus ROG Phone 5S and Asus ROG Phone 5S Pro, feature a large 6.78-inch FHD+ E4 AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2,448 x 1,080 pixels, a 144Hz refresh rate, 10-bit HDR, 20.4:9 aspect ratio, 111% DCI-P3 wide color gamut, sRGB, and 1200 nits brightness. The displays of both the devices are protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

Under the hood, the Asus ROG Phone 5S and the Asus ROG Phone 5S Pro are powered by up to 3GHz octa-core Snapdragon 888+ processor, which is paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS3.1 onboard memory. In the software department, both phones boot Android 11-based ROG UI out of the box.

For photography, the Asus ROG Phone 5S and the Asus ROG Phone 5S Pro boast of a 64MP main camera (Sony IMX686), which is clubbed with a 13MP ultra-wide angle camera with a 125-degree field-of-view, and a 5MP macro shooter with f/2.0 aperture. At the front, the devices flaunt a 24MP selfie snapper.

Coming to the batteries of the devices, both phones offer a mammoth 6,000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. Both phones feature an in-display fingerprint scanner, ultrasonic sensors for AirTrigger 5, and grip press detection.
