Asus has confirmed that the ROG Phone 6 will be launched in India on July 5, 2022 at 5:20pm IST. The virtual event will be streamed live on the company’s YouTube channel. The smartphone will be unveiled alongside the ROG Phone 6 Pro. The design and key specifications of the gaming smartphone have already been revealed, thanks to the TENAA listing and various leaks. Here’s what we can expect from the Asus ROG Phone 6 in terms of design and features.

Both the camera island and the secondary display are much larger than those in the previous ROG phones. It comes with a “Tencent Games” branding and a ROG logo at the rear. We can expect the upcoming ROG Phone 6 to feature the same premium aluminium and glass sandwich build sported by the older phones in the series.

The Asus ROG Phone 6 will sport a 6.78-inch display. The device will be powered by the Qualcomm 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The smartphone will have a 30 percent bigger cooling vapour chamber and an 85 percent larger graphite sheet to cool it down during long gaming sessions. As per the TENAA certification, the ROG Phone 6 will support up to 18GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
When it comes to imaging, the smartphone boasts of a triple camera setup at the back. It will include a 64MP primary camera. The camera setup will also include a telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom sensor. For selfies, the handset will have a 12MP front camera. Going by the inscription on the camera module, the gaming-centric phone will have the capability to record 8K videos.
Additionally, the Asus ROG Phone 6 will have a dual-cell 6,000mAh battery. It will come with 65W fast charging support.
