ASUS ROG Phone 6D Launch Set For September 19

ASUS has confirmed the ROG Phone 6D launch date. The Taiwanese smartphone maker has announced that the device will launch globally on September 19, 2022. The Asus ROG Phone 6D will be the third variant by ASUS in its ROG Phone series. The specifications of the upcoming smartphone were leaked recently, courtesy of the AnTuTu benchmark. Additionally, the phone was spotted on China’s 3C certification website and RoHS compliance page of the Asus website.

If the rumours are to be believed, the upcoming ROG Phone 6D will be powered by a Dimensity 9000+ SoC. This new chipset is reported to offer five percent better CPU performance and 10 percent improved GPU performance compared to the Dimensity 9000 chipset. As mentioned above, the phone was spotted on the AnTuTu benchmark site. As per the benchmark’s test results, the device managed to gain 11,46,594 points. The CPU scored 29,1317 points while the GPU gained 43,0867 points.

Moving on to the specifications, the ASUS ROG Phone 6D is tipped to sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display. The device might have a 165Hz refresh rate and a Full HD+ resolution. In terms of imaging, the smartphone is rumoured to feature a 50MP IMX766 sensor. It might pack 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The whole package might be fuelled by a 6,000mAh battery which could offer 65W fast charging support.

Meanwhile, the rest of the specifications pertaining to the front camera, design, and pricing currently remain unknown. More details will be revealed as the launch of the phone inches closer.
