ASUS India, Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced the upgrade to its ROG Strix Scar 17 PCs with the launch of the new Special Edition (SE) laptop for the Indian market. The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 SE brings upgrades both in terms of performance and cooling mechanism. The laptop features a top-of-the-line Intel 12th Gen Core i9 HX series of processors, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU, and up to 2TB of internal storage.

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 SE is priced at ₹3,59,990 for the 1TB + 1TB model, while the 2TB + 2TB PCIe model retails for ₹3,99,990. The laptop is available for purchase from the ASUS e-shop, Amazon, Flipkart, ASUS Exclusive Stores, ROG Stores, and multi-brand Retailers in India.

ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 SE Specifications, Features

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 SE flaunts a 17.3-inch IPS LCD display that has WQHD 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. The display panel has up to 16:9 aspect ratio, up to 240Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 3ms response time, and Dolby Vision HDR support. Powering this new gaming laptop under the hood is a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12950HX processor which is paired with Nvidia’s RTX 3080 Ti GPU.

The laptop has a Vapor Chamber that takes the place of the heat pipes and can cover up to 48.8% of the motherboard’s surface area in order to optimize heat dissipation. Furthermore, the laptop packs 32GB of RAM and has 2TB + 2TB PCIe SSD storage. As for the software, this new machine boots Windows 11 Pro. The audio on the laptop is handled by a 4-speaker system which also has Dolby Atmos support.

Connectivity-wise, this new laptop has a host of features such as two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C support, 3.5mm Combo Audio Jack, one HDMI 2.1 port, one RJ45 LAN port, Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi 6E, and a one Thunderbolt 4 support DisplayPort.
