The ASUS Zenfone 8 Android 12 Beta update will start soon as the recruitment procedure has been started by the Taiwanese company. ASUS had announced its plan of updating some of its smartphones to the Android 12 a few days ago. As per the details released by ASUS on its ZenTalk forums, the Beta Program would allow some users to best-test Android 12 on their Zenfonne 8 Flip before the company releases the stable Android 12 update. Previously, ASUS had recruited beta testers to try out Android 12 for the Zenfone 8 smartphone.

Step 1: Head over to Setting > System > System update on your ASUS ZenFone 8 Flip
Step 2: Click the gear-shaped icon at the top-right corner of the screen.
Step 3: You will have to then tap on Enroll in the Beta Test Program option in the Settings.
Step 4: You now have to agree to the beta-test the update and ASUS privacy policy and sign up ASUS member account to fill in the beta-test application. After filling the beta test application, you will have to submit it.
Step 5: If you are chosen to be enrolled in the Android 12 beta program, ASUS will send an e-mail to you. However, if you are not enrolled, the company won’t inform you through any further notice.
According to the details published on the ASUS ZenTalk forum, the Zenfone 8 Flip will not lose its original warranty if you install the Android 12 beta update released by the company. If you are enrolled in the Android 12 beta program, everything about beta software will remain confidential, and you can’t post any details publicly. If you want to leave the program, you can submit your request by posting a thread on the specific board or sending a personal message to moderators. Do note that if you enrol in the beta program, the beta build will contain some bugs and the software experience might not be that great compared to the stable version.
As mentioned earlier, ASUS plans to start updating its smartphones to the Android 12 starting from December 2021. The company will start rolling out the stable Android 12 update to the Zenfone 8 and the Zenfone 8 Flip in December 2021. In the first quarter of 2022, the ROG Phone 5 and the ROG Phone 5S will receive the Android 12 update. In the first half of 2022, ASUS will start upgrading the Zenfone 7 and the ROG Phone 3 to Android 12.
