Ather Energy, one of the country’s leading electric scooter manufacturers, continues to extend its Ather Grid fast-charging network. The Bengaluru-based startup has now teamed up with Magenta ChargeGrid to expand its charging network across India. As a result, Ather will be able to use Magenta ChargeGrid’s electric vehicle charging stations across the country.
Magenta ChargeGrid is a relatively small participant in the grand scheme of things, and they are currently extending their EV charging network across India. By the end of FY 2023, the company hopes to have 11,000 chargers installed in 35 to 40 cities.
Currently, Ather maintains over 330 charging stations in 35 cities, and the agreement will undoubtedly benefit Ather Grid. The firm aims to deploy 5,000 more fast chargers across the country in the next three years, and collaborations like this will likely make that happen.

In addition, Ather’s three-year plans include increasing its yearly production from 4,00,000 units to a target of 10,00,000 units. In addition, the company intends to launch new products and grow its dealer network. The impending sub ₹1 lakh electric scooter is on their agenda, and it has the potential to transform their market position. Ather presently sells two e-scooter models in India—the 450 Plus and the 450X, both of which cost over ₹1.3 lakhs.
