Bowers & Wilkins (B&W), a British loudspeakers and headphones manufacturer, is debuting its first-ever Dolby Atmos soundbar, dubbed the Panorama 3, today. Coming with a price tag of $999, the new soundbar looks set to compete with the existing high-end Sonos Arc and Atmos speakers. While Dolby Atmos remain the key highlight for the Panorama 3 soundbar, it comes with a host of other features such as a built-in voice assistant, high-res audio streaming, HDMI input, and more.
Let’s take a closer look at the features and specifications of the Panorama 3 soundbar and find out what it has in store for us.
Panorama 3 Soundbar Specifications, Features
Bowers & Wilkins has introduced the Panorama 3 as its first-ever Dolby Atmos soundbar to compete in the premium soundbar market, hence the $999 price tag. It features 13 drivers that include two built-in subwoofers which can reach up to 400W amplification and two up-firing speakers.

The Panorama 3 soundbar does not require an external subwoofer and functions as a standalone setup. For connectivity, the soundbar includes a single HDMI input. You also get a built-in Alexa voice assistant support with the new B&W soundbar. Further, users can stream AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, and high-res audio via the company’s mobile app from services like Tidal, Qobuz, and more.
The soundbar sports an angular design and is 2.5 inches high. It comes bundled with a wall bracket inside the box. The device does not come with a Multi-room audio feature out of the box and will receive the same via an update after the release.
According to the company, while the Panorama 3 soundbar can compete with high-end brands such as Sonos, Vizio, and other Atmos soundbar makers, it cannot replace a proper surround setup. However, if you’re looking forward to buying just a top-end soundbar, the Panorama 3 appears to be a suitable candidate.
