Google has been putting in some real efforts to improve the password manager it has built into Chrome and Android. After recently announcing the notes feature for the password manager, the software giant now seems to be working on adding the ability to send saved passwords for its Chrome users.
Let’s find out how the new feature is going to work for Google Chrome users.
Google Chrome To Add ‘Send Password’ Feature To Its Password Manager
A Twitter user reported that Google has started working on adding a new option to the password manager that will allow users to share their saved passwords with others. As spotted by the Twitter user, Google has added a new Send password button to Chrome. The new feature is available as part of the overflow menu next to each username and password combination.
However, clicking on Send password does nothing, which means that the feature is not functional yet. There is no word on the official launch of the feature for Google Chrome so far.
Presumably, the Send password feature will enable users to send their passwords to other users in an encrypted way. Given the fact that the new feature is visible with the existing Copy password option, there has to be some difference between the usability of both features.
The new feature will turn out to be useful for people working as teams on social media platforms or for multiple social media accounts accessing the same service online.
What are your thoughts on the new “Share password” feature to be added to the Chrome password manager? Do let us know in the comments section below.
