Clubhouse, an audio-based social platform, was launched back in COVID-19-ridden 2020. Since then, it has been working on bringing changes to its platform to provide a refined experience to its users. Now, Clubhouse has introduced Web Listening, which will enable you to listen to Clubhouse rooms from your smartphones, tablets, laptops, and PCs. With the introduction of Web Listening, you aren’t required to download the app or log in to your account. Just visit the Clubhouse web-based platform and join a room or conversation without any fuss.
The company says that it will work for both Replays and Live Rooms. It is said to work with all major browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc. and will roll out from today in the U.S. for trials. Based on the initial feedback from users, Clubhouse plans to extend support to more countries and also introduce more room categories going forward.

It now adds the function of notifying your followers about the room you are currently listening to. When you tap on the Share button at the bottom of a live room or Replay, you will be presented with three options to choose from, namely Share via a social network, copy the link to share via a messaging app, and Share on Clubhouse. If you select the third option ‘Share on Clubhouse’, you will be able to add a comment before sharing it with your followers.
Clubhouse introduced support for 13 additional languages, including seven Indian languages in December 2021. Now, it supports a total of more than 100 languages worldwide. You can select a language of your choice to interact, join rooms, listen to podcasts, and make new connections on the Clubhouse platform, but only via audio, as video isn’t supported on Clubhouse.
