Corsair K100 Air Slim Mechanical Keyboard Launched With Numpad, Cherry MX Keys, RGB: Price, Features

Corsair has launched the K100 Air Wireless mechanical gaming keyboard, the brand’s thinnest and most expensive gaming keyboard. Corsair’s latest keyboard comes with Cherry MX Ultra Low Profile tactile switches. It supports up to 20 hardware RGB lighting layers, offering full control over the RGB lights.

Corsair’s K100 Air wireless mechanical gaming keyboard is super slim, measuring just 11mm at the thinnest point. Cherry MX Ultra Low Profile tactile switches adorn the keyboard. These switches are just 3.5mm tall, making it shorter than the Cherry MX low profile switches, that are 11.9mm tall.

The Corsair K100 has an elegant brushed aluminium frame. The keyboard is fully customizable, allowing you to change the RGB lighting and program the keys. It includes four “G” keys—G1, G2, G3, and G4—that can be used for shortcuts, to launch apps, or to program macros. You can save up to 50 RGB profiles on-board, thanks to Corsair’s iCUE interface.

As for RGB customization, the keyboard is powered by Corsair’s “Axon Hyper Processing” technology that allows you to add up to 20 RGB lighting layers. The brand claims that keystrokes are transmitted up to eight times faster. When connected via a USB cable, the keyboard has a polling rate of up to 8,000Hz. On the other hand, using Corsair’s Slipstream Wireless adapter reduces the frequency down to 2,000Hz. The keyboard can also be connected through Bluetooth. It can switch between up to five devices with Slipstream Wireless and Bluetooth.

The K100 is a full-sized keyboard, hence, it includes a numpad, a volume roller, an extra set of media keys, as well as shortcut buttons. When it comes to battery life, Corsair claims that when connected wirelessly, the keyboard can last for up to 50 hours with RGB enabled. On the other hand, with RGB turned off, it is reported to have a battery life of up to 200 hours.
