UAE-based META4 Group’s auto arm, Ellysium Automotives, announced the launch of its electric two-wheeler brand EVeium in the country. A planned investment of ₹250 crores would be made to produce three Made-in-India electric scooters at the group’s proposed Voltly Energy production facility in Zahirabad, Telangana, according to the company.
This is not the brand’s first time competing in the country; in the past, Ellysium Automotives promoted the British EV two-wheeler manufacturer One Moto. Under this new name, the company now intends to provide a variety of EV products, including electric bikes, scooters, and bicycles.

They have teamed up with Voltly Energy for this. In order to establish a dedicated manufacturing plant for electric vehicles, which will be operational this year, Voltly Energy recently signed an initial agreement with the Telangana government to purchase 15 acres of land in Zahirabad.
As part of its initial development plan, EVeium said it has already begun onboarding dealers and hopes to have a presence by the end of this fiscal year in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka, Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and West Bengal.
“With global fuel price inflation and increased environmental protection awareness, launching our own e-mobility brand EVeium in India is a strategist’s dream. We are introducing three electric scooters keeping in mind the country’s value positioning and mobility competition,” said Aditya Reddy, Vice President for sales and marketing at EVeium.
