Motorola announced the Moto G22 in the global markets a few weeks back, and we have now learnt from industry insider Yogesh Brar that the phone will be making its debut in India on April 8. The India-bound model will retain the same spec sheet as the global model and will be available in multiple colour options.
Moto G22 Specifications
The Motorola G22 comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD panel with a center punch-hole and 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G37 4G SoC and will be available in the country in a single variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.
When it comes to imaging, the Moto G22 comes with a quad rear camera setup with a main 50MP camera which is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor.

On the front, there is a 16MP selfie snapper tucked away in the punch-hole. A large 5,000mAh battery powers the phone and offers support for 15W fast charging. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, boxy design with flat sides, dual SIM support, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type C support along with NFC in select markets. It will come with Android 12 out of the box with Motorola’s My UX on top. Additionally, the company promises two major Android upgrades.
Moto G22 Price
The Moto G22 is scheduled to launch on April 8. It will go on sale the following week on Flipkart. The smartphone will be available in a single variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It is expected to be priced between ₹10,000 and ₹12,000.
