Vivo recently debuted the Vivo T1 series of smartphones in India, comprising three smartphones – the Vivo T1 44W, the Vivo T1 5G and the Vivo T1 Pro. Now in continuation to that, Vivo appears to already be working on the successor to the T1 series, as Onsitego has exclusively learnt about the upcoming Vivo T2 lineup, courtesy of Industry sources.
The Vivo T2 series for India is said to consist of two devices, the Vivo T2 and the T2 Pro. Let’s take a closer look at the upcoming Vivo T2 series, launch timeline, models, and everything we know so far.
Vivo T2 Series India Launch to Take Place in Q3 2022
According to our sources, Vivo’s T2 lineup of phones will arrive in the third quarter (Q3) of 2022. The successors to the Vivo T1 series will include the Vivo T2 and the T2 Pro. Both the models are said to be 5G enabled as the company plans to skip introducing the 4G variants this time around.
The Vivo T2 moniker was also recently spotted on the IMEI database confirming its existence. However, the listing does not reveal any key specifications of the handset. Since the Vivo T1 first debuted in China and later made its way to India, we anticipate the brand to follow a similar pattern to the T2 lineup. The Indian variants of the T2 series could differ in terms of specifications and design from the Chinese counterparts.
Recall that the Vivo T1 Pro packs in a 6.44-inch FullHD+ AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 778G SoC and the handset runs on Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12 out of the box.
There’s a triple camera module on the rear comprising of a 64MP primary, an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro unit. On the front, Vivo has included a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calls. That said, we do expect to learn more about the Vivo T2 series as time passes by.
