Vivo X80 And Vivo X80 Pro Launched Globally: Price, Specifications

Vivo has launched the flagship X80 and X80 Pro smartphones in Malaysia today. This is the first global debut of the Vivo X80 series outside of China. The Vivo X80 Pro features a 6.78-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz variable refresh rate, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, and a 4,700mAh battery. On the other hand, the Vivo X80 handset comes with a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel, a Dimensity 9000 processor, and a 4,500mAh battery, among other features.

Vivo X80 And Vivo X80 Pro Pricing, Availability

For the Malaysia market, the Vivo X80 is priced at RM 3,499 (around ₹61,615) for the standard 12GB + 256GB storage variant, while the Vivo X80 Pro with the same configuration costs RM 4,999 ($1,143/₹88,030). The Vivo X80 will be available in two colour options—Cosmic Black and Urban Blue. Meanwhile, the Vivo X80 Pro will be available in a single Cosmic Black colour.

The Vivo X80 series is available for pre-order in Malaysia starting from May 8 to May 13. Notably, both smartphones will launch in India on May 18.

Starting with the display, the Vivo X80 features a 6.78-inch FHD+ E5 AMOLED HDR10+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. Powering the device is an octa-core Dimensity 9000 processor, which is paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The Vivo X80 boots Android 12 with Funtouch OS 12 out of the box.

For photography, the Vivo X80 offers a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 12MP portrait camera. For selfies and video calling, the smartphone features a 32MP selfie-shooter. Coming to the battery of the device, the Vivo X80 packs in a 4,500mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging over a USB Type-C port.

In terms of connectivity, the device offers 5G SA/ NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS (L1+L5 Dual Band), and GLONASS. The smartphone also features an in-display fingerprint sensor. Coming to dimensions, the Vivo X80 measures 164.95 × 75.23 × 8.30 mm and weighs around 206 grams.

The device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, which is paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The Vivo X80 Pro runs Android 12 with Funtouch OS 12 out of the box.

In terms of optics, the Vivo X80 Pro offers a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide angle camera, a 12MP portrait camera, and an 8MP periscope camera. For selfies, the device has a 32MP front-facing camera. Coming to the battery of the device, the Vivo X80 Pro is powered by a 4,700mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W wireless reverse charging.

Connectivity features of the handset include 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2 (Bluetooth 5.3 in Dimensity Edition), GPS (L1+L5 Dual Band), GLONASS, and USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1. The device also features an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. As for the dimensions, the Vivo X80 pro measures 164.57 × 75.3 × 9.10 mm and weighs around 215 grams.
